There are 12 games on today’s slate NBA fans. Today’s NBA Game of the Day is a matchup between two Southwest Division foes that will have playoff implications. The Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets are separated by a game and a half in the Western Conference standings. This will be the fourth and final meeting between the Grizzlies and Rockets this season.

Memphis leads the season series 2-1 with each team winning on its home floor. If the Grizzlies (who are mere percentage points ahead of the Dallas Mavericks for fifth place in the conference) want to extend their lead over the Rockets (who are tied with the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets for spots seven, eight and nine), they will have to find a way to win in a building where they haven’t won since 2006.

Houston has defeated the Grizzlies 11 straight times at the Toyota Center. If the Rockets want to avoid a 10-loss March they will have to extend their home winning streak against the Grizzlies to 12.
