NBA fans there are 11 games on today’s slate. The New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks will meet in today’s NBA Game of the Day with the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs on the line. This will be the last meeting of the season between these two teams and Milwaukee, who leads the season series 2-1, can earn the head-to-head tiebreaker between the teams with a win.
The eighth-place Knicks currently hold a one-game lead over the Bucks. To remain among the top eight in the East, New York must defeat Milwaukee tonight.
With a win, the Bucks, by virtue of the tiebreaker, would, for the moment, claim the Eastern Conference’s eighth and final playoff spot. A loss would drop Milwaukee two games behind New York with just eight games remaining.
This situation is likely to remain fluid until the final day of the season. But the winner of tonight’s game, with so few games remaining in the season, would give themselves a slight advantage as the battle for that final playoff spot in the East continues.
