2012 NBA Finals

The 2012 NBA Finals featured the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat.  After winning Game 1, 105-94, Oklahoma City lost Game 2 and surrendered home-court advantage to Miami.  The Heat capitalized fully and became just the third team—the 2004 Detroit Pistons and 2006 Miami Heat are the others—to win all three of the middle games at home since the NBA instituted the 2-3-2 format for the finals back in 1985.  Those three home wins sealed the Thunder’s fate and led the Heat to their second NBA championship in franchise history.
