2013 NBA Finals

The 2013 NBA Finals was a dramatic seven-game series between the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs.  San Antonio immediately snatched home-court advantage from the defending champions with a 92-88 Game 1 victory.  The Spurs took a 3-2 series lead into Game 6 and looked to be on their way to the franchise’s fifth NBA championship with a 10-point lead, 75-65, heading into the fourth quarter.  But LeBron James and the Heat continued to defend their title.  James and Miami outscored San Antonio 30-20 in the fourth to force overtime.  Miami capped off the dramatic comeback with a 103-100 overtime victory.  The Heat’s Game 6 comeback set the stage for a championship-deciding Game 7 in Miami where the Heat protected their home floor and defended their championship with a 95-88 victory.
